Questions we get a lot

Yes. We'll never put a time limit on the free plan or require a credit card to use it. Core features (tracker detection, history, breach check, ad profile) are free with no catch. Pro is for people who want more, not a way to pressure you into paying.
No. All data stays on your device, in your browser's local storage. The extension doesn't make network requests to our servers, so we physically cannot see the sites you've visited or the trackers you've encountered.
The breach check is powered by HaveIBeenPwned (HIBP), a trusted service run by security researcher Troy Hunt. You provide your own free HIBP API key. When you check an email, the request goes directly from your browser to HIBP. We never see your email address.
Yes, any time. No notice period, no questions asked. Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing month you've paid for. After that, you go back to the free plan and all your locally stored data stays intact.
Yes. The extension source code is on GitHub under the MIT licence. You (or anyone you trust) can read exactly what it does, what requests it makes, and where data goes. Privacy tools should be verifiable, not just trustworthy on our word.
In normal use, no. Datawake observes network requests your browser is already making. It doesn't add requests or inject scripts at page load. Data is stored in IndexedDB, your browser's built-in database, which is fast and doesn't affect page rendering.
